What you should know
- Please check your email the day before the tour to receive important information.
- Please note that the number of attractions depends on the option selected. The 3-hour car tour excludes entries to the Duomo, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Basilica of Santa Croce, Church of San Miniato al Monte and the Basilica della Santissima Annunziata.
- Guided tours inside the churches during masses and scheduled events are limited. If entry is not possible, the guide will provide all information outside.
- It is advised to cover your shoulders and knees when visiting the churches in Florence.
- The Basilica della Santissima Annunziata can be visited on weekdays and holidays from 7.30 to 12.30; 16 – 18.30. Admission will be excluded outside those hours.
- Skip-the-line tickets to the Basilica of Santa Croce grant you immediate entry at your booked time, without waiting in line at the ticket office. Headsets will be provided for groups larger than 4 people.
- Free entry to Florence Cathedral (Duomo) is only for the main church, excluding the dome, baptistry, bell tower, museum and ancient basilica. The Cathedral can be visited every day between 10AM and 5PM. During the peak season, the line to enter may be 1 hour long so due to time constraints, this attraction may be removed from the itinerary at the guide’s discretion.
- Skip-the-line tickets to Giotto’s Bell Tower provide faster entry without queuing at the ticket office, but you may have to wait for the tickets to be checked and security checks. There are 414 steps to reach the top, no elevators. Admission includes also the Baptistery, Museum and Santa Reparata, which you can visit within 3 days.
- For the comfort of all guests, it is best to have 1 licensed guide per maximum of 25 guests. If there are 26-50 people in your group, we will provide the service of 2 licensed guides so that all guests can get the best experience, ask questions and hear the guide well.
- We will arrange private transfers in a standard car (sedan) for groups of 1-4 people, and in a larger van or minibus for groups of 5 people and more. If you’re traveling in a smaller group but want to travel in a more spacious car, we recommend booking a 5-people tour to take advantage of a larger vehicle.
Piazzale Michelangelo is located up a hill so it’s best to wear comfortable shoes as you will walk a lot.
