Activity details
The Godfather trilogy, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, is considered a cinematic masterpiece and an epic American crime film. Join this exclusive tour to take a look behind-the-scenes of your favourite movie and see its filming locations in Manhattan. Enter the fictional world of New York’s most powerful Italian mafia family.
The 2-hour tour includes transport in a private, air-conditioned car, so you can enjoy The Godfather-style adventure without worrying about long distances between stops! The first filming location you will visit is the luxury hotel St Regis New York, where Michael Corleone and Kay have stayed. You will pass St Patrick’s Cathedral, which appears in The Godfather II scene where Michael stops by to consult a priest. Across the Cathedral is the famous Rockefeller Center and its Rock City Music Hall, where Michael and Kay hear that the Don has been shot. You will also see Hotel Edison, where Sollozzo meets up with Luca Brasi.
More attractions await you in Downtown New York. Your Private Guide will provide interesting commentary about the historical background of the trilogy and show you around Little Italy. See the famous Mulberry Street, which is where real-life Italian-American Mafia gathered in the 19th and 20th century, and the Mulberry Street Bar, which was featured in several gangster movies such as the Godfather III, Donny Brasco, and the Sopranos TV series. You will also see the Basilica of St Patrick’s Old Cathedral, which you might not recognise from the inside, but which is the location where Michael becomes Godfather. The final stop will be the New York County Courthouse, where Barzini was gunned down by the fake cop.
